Indigenous Australian Artists | Group Exhibition

McCarthy Gallery would like to acknowledge and pay respects to all language, tribal and nation groups of the Indigenous peoples of Australia, who are traditional custodians and owners of the land on which we are operating, found and gathered. We would like to also pay our respects to their elders, past, present and emerging, and acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. We are proudly supportive of the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.


McCarthy Gallery is proud to present this impressive exhibition in association with Harvey Galleries. We are honoured and very privileged to have this opportunity to showcase some of Australia many high profile artists on our online gallery. Their traditional stories that each artist's paints are mountain devil lizard, emu, pencil yam, grass seeds and small brown grass. Sharing there sacred and intimate paintings of there father's country, sacred Warlpiri territory associated with narratives relating to the watersnake, the oval shapes in their paintings are iconographic representations of the swamps and lakes near Nyrripi (Talarada) north-west of Mt. Liebig, depicts the wet and dry characteristics of this country.


This is a rare collection of artworks together in one show. Each artist is highly sort-after and most collectable artists in Australia. A unique opportunity for art lovers and emerging or established art collectors for a rare piece of history.
